Private Sector - State of Connecticut
For a regional, post-merger a national, telecommunications company:
- Managed corporate IT architecture group that set
corporate IT direction, conducted key proofs-of-concept, and
provided oversight and migration assistance to technical
implementation teams.
- Post-merger served as 13-state representative to
Architecture Review Board for several technology domains.
- Provided software project management for beta phase
digital video-on-demand development, architecture management for
company-wide billing systems consolidation, and business
intelligence project management for marketing subsidiary.
For national insurance and financial services company:
- Led beta implementation of automated model-driven mainframe
application development, including code generation, based on business
process re-engineering of the standard systems development life cycle.
- By the 5th year, the CASE (computer-aided software
engineering) initiative improved time-to-market for custom,
configurable mainframe applications, and developer productivity for
superior teams with superior tools, by about 150% (referencing Caper
Jones 1998 macro estimation heuristic), and 300% based in internal
data collection.
